Paper has worked for fifty years. If we sell it to you as if it were bad, you will not believe the rest.
No battery, no signal, no need for the customer to know how to scan a QR code. An ink stamp works on the day the internet goes down and on the day your supplier does.
One press takes half a second. Nothing digital is going to beat that.
A thousand paper cards cost less than a month of any software. If your margin is tight, that matters.
Half the paper cards end up in a jacket or a bin. When that happens the customer does not start another: they leave the programme.
Paper cannot count. It cannot tell you that twelve regulars have not appeared in two months, which is the only information you can act on.
With paper, the customer who stopped coming is unreachable. With a digital card you have a channel to write to them, if they agreed to it.
Stay on paper if your programme works, your shop is small and you are not going to look at any numbers. Change for its own sake improves nothing.
Switch if you have ever wondered how many regulars you have and could not answer.
